When comparing mobile home policies, the main
questions you should ask yourself are:
- What will my policy pay for my home in the event
of a total loss? Your policy may pay only the "bluebook"
or actual cash value for your home in the event of a total
loss - leaving you to make up the difference that you may
owe the finance company! Our policies guarantee you the
amount shown on your policy.
- What will my policy pay in the event of a partial
loss to my home? Most policies will depreciate the amount
payable to you by the age of your home. We offer a policy
that will not depreciate the amount paid to you for any
covered claim to your home.
- Will my personal effects be depreciated or paid at
full value? Most policies do not offer replacement cost
coverage for your personal effects - we do. If
your personal effects are damaged due to a covered peril
or stolen, they will be replaced with new items of like
kind.
- Are any unattached adjacent structures covered properly? This
can include storage buildings, carports, garages, porches,
decks, well house.
- Do I have theft protection? How much coverage
do you have for a theft at home? How about away from home? If
your vehicle or motel room is broken into, are you covered?
- How am I covered in event of legal liability claim? What
happens if someone has an accident on your property? Who
will pay their medical bills, or in the event they sue you,
are you covered?
- Are my shrubs, plants or trees covered? And
for what amounts?
- Do I have additional living expense to cover my expenses
if I have to live away from my home while it is being repaired
for covered damages?
- Am I receiving any discounts on my premium for:
no claims, 50 years of age or older, double wide
homes, hardboard or vinyl siding, home is 10 years
old or newer, renewal discount?
We do!
Do you know the answers to these questions? If
not, you have not had your policy explained to you properly. It's
possible that you are paying too much for too little coverage. Please
give us a chance to go over all these coverages with you.
